Susan E. Holley has recently joined the firm as “Of Counsel.”  Having worked at a preeminent entertainment law firm in Beverly Hills and a large firm in Westwood, she has a wealth of experience in numerous areas of business litigation and advise and counsel.  Ms. Holley left law firm practice for a number of years to focus on conducting employment investigations and becoming a certified mediator.  She is excited to be back in law firm practice where, in addition to litigation and advise and counsel, she will be able to continue pursuing her employment investigation and mediation practice.

Since graduating from Stanford Law School in 1991, Ms. Holley has represented numerous corporate and individual clients in all phases of complex business litigation in both state and federal court.  Ms. Holley has litigated extensively in the areas of labor and employment law, copyright, patent and trademark infringement, fraud and trade secret disputes, unfair business practices, real estate, breach of contract, accounting, environmental law, and invasion of privacy, business, real estate and entertainment law.  She has represented large and small motion picture and animation studios, airlines, banks, toy manufacturers, insurance companies, investment banking firms, restaurants, commercial real estate developers and food industry companies.  She has also spent a number of years as an employment investigator, investigating claims of harassment, discrimination and workplace violence.  Ms. Holley’s goals are to eliminate litigation as cheaply and efficiently as possible so that her clients can focus on their businesses.

Over the years, Ms. Holley has also developed a passion for, and experience as, a neutral mediator, resolving disputes in a number of areas, particularly in employment and contract disputes, helping clients on both sides of the table avoid the costs and psychological burdens of protracted litigation.  Having received intensive training from The Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University, and having received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from UCLA, Ms. Holley is a skilled neutral who can help parties resolve even the most emotionally fraught disputes.
